GeoSuPhat – Taking Out The Trash

Taking Out The Trash is George Pierce Peterson AKA GeoSuPhats debut album on Togeo Studios in-house Togeo Music label. It is a collection of ten tracks, all electronic titles crossing the genres of electro, idm, minimal industrial and techno. A highly experimental album offering many swings in the flow as it delivers a somewhat subtle insight into the influences behind the artist GeoSuPhat. At times there are gritty distorted rock and industrial overtones, while at other times delivering a very contrasting lightness to the mood.

Togeo Music Indie Netlabel Opens

Some of you who know me, know that our website at Togeo Studios has been hosting our net label for the last year. We decided it was time to expand the label onto its own domane and have just opened up our new website for the label at Togeo Music.

We still are completely free and we will still be uploading our new music on Jamendo. What we do have to offer is that we have uploaded our entire catalog of music onto the Internet Archive and we ar now content distributors on Mininova. this will help us to distribute our music in a variety of formats that are not currently available on Jamendo. All albums are available now as Q1 320kbs VBR Mp3s, q7 Ogg Vorbis, Lossless Flac, LoFi 64kbs Mp3s for mobile as well as the 192kbs VBR mp3s that are available here on Jam. We have torrent downloads as well as direct and hope that this will help to provide maximum distribution of our free Creative Commons licensed productions.

My Last album Probes was made using soundscapes created with the SST GENS V2 Live pack I created for Togeo Studios. Its a sample based soundset for the Simpler instrument device in Ableton Live with over a 1000 instrument rack presets. SST GENS V2 is the first part of the Simple Synth Library collection of free Ableton Live packs I have been putting together as a toolkit for Live users.

GeoSuPhat on Jamendo

Well, I just started getting this blog set up. Have to see how much time I can put aside for it, but I will try to keep things current as much as possible. Give me a bit of time to get this organised and we will see how it goes.
A lot of my time right now is being put into the Togeo Studio website where I am creating a library of free Live packs to help people making music with Ableton Live. We are also working on a site redesign there too thats due for the end of the year. So things are really busy now.
